VILE REMINDERS
Spirits stand statue with following eyes-
Pillars of fire that whisper the lies-
Cross glare a path for the sinner in me-
To find where to walk wash my sinning soul clean-
Father please slaughter these aliens-
Father I see them digging graves in the yard-
Mother I know you can't cradle me again-
But tell the son I'll give the sun one more try-
Through hallway shadows move slowly to doors-
I feel the cold rising from cracks in the floor-
Catching my breath though breathing ghosts in-
Knocking blood knuckles staining wood symbol red-
Father please slaughter these sheep in the field-
They all have gone mad from the dense chemicals-
Mother I know you can hear me by bed-
Praying for your hand to comfort me once again-
It's so hard to lean into the light -
Please give me one small beam at a time-
If you hear me whimper to tone into scream-
Kick the door in
tear the walls down
Let the light in
to consume me.............
Pillars of fire that whisper the lies-
Cross glare a path for the sinner in me-
To find where to walk wash my sinning soul clean-
