I remember the night of December’s doom
She came with a tune of fallen angel chords
As howling wolves unto my door
Dismembered parts reassembled at the river
Scarlet hair blowing in a Stygian breeze
Stirred my heart like fallen Autumn leaves
Now I wish I never loved you
Since you cleaved my heart in two
Tears were left on the ballroom floor
To freeze in the winds of the north
Charon comes to whisk us away
Love songs left to litter the grave
And still I visit your frigid tomb
And leave behind a black rose
Will you sing with heaven’s angels now
Or just haunt me in my hell?
But I still love you
And hate myself for it
Please, remember the night of December’s moon
Six black candles’ gloom illuminates my face
Begging for just one little taste
Spell weavers strung out on ghastly nonbelievers
Raise their goblets of full emerald liquors
Frames a face when I longed to kiss her
I’ll bet that you never loved me
Since I cleaved your heart between
Crashing storms, thunderous and vain
Bitter tears are all that remains
Charon comes to whisk us away

Long are the days between heartbeats
Feeble and pathetic
Tragic and erratic
