Empty

What is empty?
Is it a slit in the wall of your heart and mind
that was never nurtured  
or no one took the time
To look close enough
and watch for a while
If they did then they'll see
breaks in the dust particles  
that float around  
just to tickle the obis  
to remind you it still exists.  
But the more the tickle begins to itch
the more it grows in length and width
and it hurts.
it cripples part of you that once was whole
and you thought you had that part  
under control
but lately it seems this bothersome
gap  
is growing a lot faster  
than you can keep tracked
and filling it is become an
exhausting and hopeless task.
You find yourself dazed  
and the world a little more blurry
not because you need a new  
prescription
but because the effort of looking  
for something or someone to fill in
this oblivion  
is getting more trivial
But you keep walking on numb feet
as the empty seeps into your view of things  
and when you’re not busy or distracted
all you can do is lay there and think
what life could be  
if I wasn’t so empty.
Recently a blank mind  
has desensitized the rest of me  
and then sometimes I over think
because I should be satisfied  
and I should be content  
but looking back
will I see my life well spent?
and if not,, then what can I change?
what do I crave?
Someone to stop and really gaze
into my eyes like a microscope  
magnetizing and prospecting  
how big the empty is  
and if they are the right size to fit.
So what is empty?
Is it a slit in the wall of your heart and mind
or is it a person who you cherish,
but still have yet to find.
