Confederate
Right now I'm not going to be real considerate
For some may be offended by this some how
I love America and I'll die on this soil a patriot
standing tall and proud with honor that I devout
For the men and woman who Sacrifice and fight
For our freedom to be free,for our lives to live on
Our flags are our mascots,symbols to our courage
If I choose to rep confederate it's my will and bond
As the guns raise and then salute they shoot in unison
For a fallen soldier that became victim to his sacrifice
He died for us and did it out of honesty,loyalty,and trust
I salute our military for a war that ended with their lives
With the controversy abounding over the confederate flag
I think it's appropriate to read up on its origin and evolution
With the formation of the confederate states in early 1861
They needed a flag for the nation to salute to its revolution.

If it is possible to respect the flag of the Confederacy without liking the way some have used it, this poem helps me do that.

Cool one man. Just life these days are only figmentations of freedom did this country give in with out letting a true patriot fight the right persons? But I liked it anyhow. !! Fight on the ink is as powerful as a great warriors swing.

Thank you for writing on a topic that is far too controversial now in the United States. You handled this sensitive issue in a very respectful and persuasive manner and that is a strength in the poem. The language is incredibly regal and full of dignity-- dignity that I feel is owed to an important part of American history. Giving respects to the deceased in our nation's military is an interesting parallel to the Confederates-- and one that I think will have people thinking.
Self-sacrifice is a powerful symbol of what it means to be American, and I think that is perfectly captured in your poem.
