The festive time is here again it comes but once each year
When we reflect our own beliefs and often shed a tear

Christmas time is calling and Santa’s on his way
Delivering toys to girls and boys in time for Christmas Day

Pine trees almost ready as they flaunt their sparkling lights
Covering up the presents and on top an angel bright

In churches choirboys singing carols loud and sweet
With lovely white surplices and cassocks to their feet

The snow has fallen everywhere upon the roads and roofs
Where tracks of reindeer can be seen a line of speeding hoofs

Turkey dinner and trimmings with cranberry sauce so fine
Christmas pudding with brandy sauce and a glass or two of wine

Nativity is wonderful when children play their part
With undiluted innocence the story breaks your heart

Three wise men and a shepherd in a stable far away
Saw the birth of Jesus and the start of Christmas Day

The festive season follows us no matter who we are
No-one should be lonely at Christmas near or far

Across the world together in hope and peace we pray
The meaning of Christmas Spirit will guide us on our way
