What if

If words had their own mind
What would they think about mine
Would they gawk at me in sheer desdain
Would they think im holding onto unessicary pain
Would they know my soul is a swirling vortex
With a bottomless of the untold
But words dont speak independently
So i guess Id never know

What if words could chop me down ten feet small
The way the tongue shatters heart
And takes names like a hit list
Created for the Hunger Games
How would words caress me
If they could love on their own
Would they protect me from darkness
Or comfort me when im alone

Would they make sweet love to me
And pillow soft whisper in my ears
Would they get fed up with my misery
Storm out my life and cease care
Could i run into words arms
When im finally overwhelmed with joy
Hmmm but what is joy in my world

Well then, would words realize
Im still a scared little girl
Holding on for dear sanity
Trying to survive this wave of tsnunami called life
Would they find themselves stranded out to sea
But then who would words lifeguard be

What if words forgot who they were
And wandered the street aimlessly
Blameless of all the sorrow
They injected into people
Like a poisen needled within thier veins
Producing lyrical additcions
Professing they can cure pain

What if words bled other words
Would their canvas be paper
Could the substance words write with
Be ink as well
But a different kind of ink
So humans can tell
That these words were words
That only words could expell

What if words had a mind of their own
What if words had a future
That to them remained untold
Like a mystery novel
With problems that are unsolvable
Would words give up and try to kill them self
But then who could words cry to for help

What if words could find a place they call home
Nestle under silk covers
That heals all their wounds
But i guess what ifs are never ending
Because theses what ifs will never known
