You switched on a switch
That i cant turn off
That eager mind
Trying to learn to write
A real live curious george
Forcing my pen to my paper
Inhaling ink vapours
That natural high
From a poetic mind
Like scents make cartoon fingers
And draw animations to pies
The ink drew me to lines
With two fingers through my eyes
Now im sitting here
Staring at the blank paper
Knowing that here
My thoughts will be safe
Away from riticule and skepticism
Releasing these thoughts
From my mind made prision
Silencing my voice
Based on a peer pressured choice
All because of how they would see me
Because now they could read me
As my soul is flipped inside out
Yet still no words uttered from my mouth
Without hesitation from the devistation
I feel that will echo through this place
When i take off this mask and reveal my true face
I am a poet in more ways than one
For me, my rythmic trilogy has just begun
For the deafing words that will invade your ear
Tickling your mind and fill you with fear
At the true wisdom and tragedies that I've learned to dismiss
Im the ever so shaded lyrical miss
That i cant turn off
That eager mind
Trying to learn to write
