Perception (2010)

An old purple door, faded by age resides
Behind an electrical panel
Behind construction rubble
Behind a thin wooden lattice that denies the wind nothing
Behind a thick evergreen bush that smells faintly of urine
Behind a fountain, idle and soundless
Behind a sign saying, “Enjoy the silence.”
What intrigue could possibly live up to
So much obfuscation?
