admonished,
“dare not eat of the vine”
but carelessly, rebeliously
I did eat.....
…..and the veil was lifted from eyes
and I saw that which I chose to see
"doctor my eyes"
was I so unwise
to simply believe
that our love, our lust,
the covetousness of
another's treasure
would harmeth thee....?
…...finding in the end
that the greatest loss
was not losing her,
but losing the heart and soul of me........
