The Cure
I’d done it
I’d finally done it
Years of sacrifice
Years of research
Lost my wife
Lost my family
Too much time
Working on this
But I’ve done it
A cure for cancer
Developed by me
One magic bullet
I will be famous
A Nobel prize
At the very least
I will be rich
Beyond my dreams
Only one drawback
3 out of every 10
Will die directly
From taking it
Not traceable
Back to the drug
To tell them or
Not to tell them
That is the question
I’d finally done it
Years of sacrifice
Years of research
Lost my wife
Lost my family
Too much time
Working on this
But I’ve done it
A cure for cancer
Developed by me
One magic bullet
I will be famous
A Nobel prize
At the very least
I will be rich
Beyond my dreams
Only one drawback
3 out of every 10
Will die directly
From taking it
Not traceable
Back to the drug
To tell them or
Not to tell them
That is the question
