Trick and Treat

"No way you're just another trick!"
Her words spoken convincingly, with ardor
A tear trailing her concern
Or a detail provided on cue
It's really of not much import
Carmen is a consummate pro
A healing factor in her affection
Some of it quite genuine
"You're actually my favorite client," she smiles
"And this isn't only business, lover man,
You're a cherished friend of mine
So trick and treat, my perfect sweet,
We'll say this one's on me."
