Upside Down

One flower grown
On an Apocalyptic Landscape
Does not make a garden
From a wasted race
Sharecropper
Minimum wage paid
Prison Cage
Or trained Brainwaves
A Slave is the same
Present company included
I’m not the God or Goddess but
I stand closer to Horus and Isis
Than most I’ve met
North
West
East
To South Sun Coast
These days it seems as if
Ignorance pays dividends yet
When I lifted the metaphoric carpet of their existence
I flipped my script and
With a quickness
Thanked the Heavens I wasn’t given
