Higher Ground

Reawakened my heart anew
done dancing with fanciful dull beats

Moon and stars sit way up high
Earth and trees beneath them lie    
   
Oil lamps
lighting tedious shadows,

you gone and caressed the fallen wishes,
daisy chained the hope,
bound by togetherness
breathing to rekindle,
lighting
igniting
fire starter,
creating an evolving landscape,
world

In dreams I'll crave familiar taste
Of whispered rain on weary face

revolving around the same blue moon
nights we walk under


a million stars till mornings we talk under
when all becomes clear.

The flower waits for honeybee
The sunrise wakes new life in me.  
   
Awaiting the sunrise
till then,      
with you and me

Of kisses sweet and warm embrace
Another time another place

we wish upon.
