good stuff David. Except I'd argue about the fifth verse. Seems that sowing the seeds of terror reaps an escalating harvest of terror and a crop of dead bodies....

thanks Ed I'd probably agree with you about the 5th verse, but then it depends where you are in the pecking order like if you were a female school teacher in Afganistan or one of the pupils?

This poem could as easily also qualify for the Spiritual Poems category. When I read this, the Ecclesiastes passage that includes the line "A time to sow and a time to reap" came to my mind. Favourite lines - those about "sowing the seeds of apathy".

I've read it back a couple of times and it does feel a bit preachy / biblical, must be my baptist up-bringing (lol)
