In the chill of haunted halls
Midnightmare spectre consuming my heart
The illness pounding in my veins
Portraits of damned souls on walls
Built with flaking paint right from the start
To compliment the torture
Blurring the lines 'tween pleasure and pain

I feel them at the gates
Wailing at the doors
"What are your woes, my friend?"
I cannot abate
Deep inside my core
When I let them in again

Staring eyes and the lantern's grin
Becoming one as the reaper's hand
I am the incarnate of oblivion
With eyes as black as obsidian
All of the voices inside of my head
I am the crypt, the home of the dead

Thought and memory
Withered by the hand
That feeds the beast inside
When day becomes night

Persistent cold approaches
Through shutters left open against the storm
With the touch of long dead fingers
Death-bearers in black coaches
Proceeds the damned like harbingers of war
Bring tales of terror, so frightful
Ghosts arise where putrid stench lingers

I await at your gates
Screaming at the door
"Speak not of woes, my friend."
I will not sedate
Devils in my core
"Will you let me in again?"

Passion burned at the summer's end
On distant shores, entwined on the sand
We spoke of our true love, everlasting
Amidst the thunder and waves crashing
What I would give just to relive that day
Tragedy struck and ripped it away

Time and memory
Cannot fade beauty
Crimson hair wisps in wind
I cannot pretend

I ghost through at your gates
Gliding through your door
"Speak not of tears, my dear."
Thus happens, thy fate
Beating in your core
"Speak not of fears, my dear."

Ghastly memory
Of necromancy
You are mine, yes, it's true
I could just eat you
