Looking Up

looking down on Earth to find
so many people lost in mind
so many people looking down
while up above and all around

angels, eagles, devas fly
in sunlit night-time veil of sky
and in between the planets spin
looking up is looking in -

in between each thought's a space
to escape the bitter taste
the politics of creed on Earth
believing leaves with renewed birth -

beyond the Earth, beyond the Moon
beyond Saturn and Neptune
beyond the solar system's reach
currents flow through all and each

molecule and atom too
proton, neutron, me and you
plasma currents' twisted streams
propel us in their astral beams -

looking down on Earth to find
