Wishes wishers' dream of

 along the  straight
the drains are long
faith to keep
seems all is wrong

where to start the unravelling
threads on kerchief's gone
wishes given nothing offered
just smiles without the tones

green jerseys blackened
stamped on soil
without nature's dye
they would surely be forgotten

dare they wish again
with another one by one
free the shackles
cut the threads

they are frayed
and old
wish again
for a new page

of hopes.
