Falling Rain
The glistening tears are beginning to fall
cascading down my cheeks,
my heart feels heavy,
my knees are wobbly and weak,
my sight is blinded by the tears
it seems as if the world were ending,
and perhaps it really is,
time holds no meaning now
the gentle rain begins to fall,
gently, ever so gently,
softly falling down to earth
to refurbish it with life,
which seems so ironic,
the rain can bring so much to life
but it can't bring you back to me,
I turn to leave your grave
and watch as the gusting wind
blows away your flowers.
