All in a Day's Work

I open my eyes to the ceiling
And immediately make a list
It would be so much easier
To pretend responsibilities don't exist
But there are at least 3 bills to be paid
That are more than 2 weeks past due
And those fuckers want their money
Or "we will come looking for you"
There's a mountain of dishes in the sink
I don't know why I bother with that shit
Because by the time I actually cook it
I don't have the energy to eat it
I really should clean out my car
I can barely sit in my seat
There's a ton of take out crap
From hitting at least 8 drive-thrus a week
I should probably vacuum too
There are cheerios galore
And a random mushy mess
All over the living room floor
Cue the buzzing phone
"Where are you?" "What are you doing?"
And my stupid ex
Preparing for my day he's about to ruin
Before my feet even hit the ground
I remember this is the day to wash the sheets
You know what, fuck this shit
I'm taking my ass back to sleep
