A splintered heart, left cold and grey
Beats random skips at the break of day
Tethered to pain, visceral and deep
Laid bare for all to see
In Autumn moors where shadows creep
She walks into thickening fog
Following the pangs of a labored heart
Beneath the moon and a bladed doom
The ghosts that linger play their part
Left to wither like dying leaves
A phantom in the dark of wailing trees
Candles flutter with forlorn songs
Haunting the steps leading to gravestones
When tears begin to fall
Faces remind from mourning halls
She speaks her words with rhythmic rhyme
A soundtrack for the end of time
She walks beneath the stars
And cast her heart to worlds afar
The only place you'll ever find
A world she made
Where love never dies
The pictures tilt on peeling paint
Once a vibrant blue but now a black taint
Those long dead eyes of staring shame
Condemning judgment beyond the grave
The fire once blazed brightly
Has faded past the point of dead embers
And then too soon the spinning room
Cast shadows she must remember
When scars begin to fade
Under the light of the shades
Damocles smiles upon her plight
And her sad laments in the night
Within a vale of tears
Exist a world without fear
The only place you'll ever find
A world she made
Where love never dies
Her paradigm
A fractured paradise
Upon the cusp
Of skeletal dust
Below are layers
Of flaking rust
Arcades of ashen skies
Seem so far behind
Beneath the moon
Of her secret place
When tears begin to fall
Faces remind from mourning halls
She speaks her words with rhythmic rhyme
A soundtrack for the end of time
She walks beneath the stars
And cast her heart to worlds afar
The only place you'll ever find
A world she made
Where love never dies
A splintered heart, left cold and grey
Beats random skips at the break of day
Tethered to pain, visceral and deep
Laid bare for all to see
In Autumn moors where shadows creep
