What am I?
What am I without you?
Half a pair....what good
is one shoe?
What am I without you?
A cloudy sky.......
not clear and blue.
What am I without you?
A balcony......
without a view.
What am I alone?
Without you a house
is not a home.
What am I when you
are not near?
I'm a song sung
with no one to hear.
What am I to do?
When there's no
me with you.
What am I to say?
When there's no
light left in my day.
I pray that I will
never have to know,
what I would be
should you go.
Because I know
what I am with you;
happy, content and true.
Half a pair....what good
is one shoe?
What am I without you?
A cloudy sky.......
not clear and blue.
What am I without you?
A balcony......
without a view.
What am I alone?
Without you a house
is not a home.
What am I when you

You're really getting the hang of the mushy, softer side of yourself, eh? Beautifully written!! 💕Sissy

There is a certain young lady that has helped me get in touch with that side of myself. She has made me comfortable there.

K2M. I don't usually leave critical suggestions. But reading this I felt it would be stronger without the questions. Your title asked it. And the poem a response. Try reading it. See what you think. There is no denying your emotions get across very clearly. But that's just me. Maybe I am wrong. Otherwise I enjoy your work. This one included.

DPW, I really appreciate that fact that you are willing to give an honest opinion. No need to blow smoke up my ...... I read it as a response to the title and I feel that you are correct. I thank you for allowing me to see this through your eyes.
Thank you so much
Greatly appreciated

If you are happy with the situation as it is presently, I don't understand why these thoughts are swirling around inside of your head. Still . . . I love the last two stanzas.

If I were the confident and cool type like you; I wouldn't have the doubts that I do. Most of the time I worry about nothing.
Sometimes I just imagine what things would be like if circumstances were different. Some would say wasteful thoughts, I would say taking the time to appreciate something before it is gone.

Sounds like stuck, doesn't it?
Someone convincing himself that he is better off in the relationship than being out of it. Searching for the positive and turning a blind eye to the negative.
Someone that ties his self-worth to that of the other person; making himself feel tied or stuck with the other person. I guess that is the word that comes to mind. STUCK
Your are an eye opening experience,
causing one to think; you are a
Sweet and lovely lady.
Always grateful
and in awe,
Keith
