Night Light

This night is different
The lights are flickering against the damp asphalt
It tells me something.
The light is about to go out in the heart of another
And turn-on into mine.
At least for this evening.
I knew this the moment the phone rang.
I told her to come over soon. And don’t wear panties.
They complicate things.
Tonight's call was about simplicity
She arrived wearing a simple all-black dress with sequins that sparkled when she walked.
To match her eyes.
I asked if she was going somewhere important.
She said she just wanted to look good.
Things are that bad? I thought
I dimmed the lights and lit a cigarette.
In the dark silence, she lifts her dress. And shows me her pussy, glistening from the reflections off her dress.
I put the cigarette out and crept between her legs and kissed her on the lips.
She lets out a soft moan and runs her fingers through my hair.
She crawls onto the couch delicately, not to disturb the
contours of her dress
Lifting her dress over her milky ass.

Fuck me from behind, she says.
And I was ready
Sliding my hardness into her was easy
Trying not to love her was hard.
Just as I cum deep in her
The power goes out.
I lit a candle and another cigarette to light the way.
I look out the window and see the street is out of power.
I said its dark and dangerous out there right now. You sure you will be ok?
It's how I live, was her walk out the door.
She knew how to take care of herself.
It would be insulting to ask more from her
She was the street light in my life. Flickering on and off. Shines my moment and goes dark.
I wonder if I misjudged who's heart was about to get switched off.
