“The sunlight shines bright”
The sunlight shines bright,
But darkness is all around,
As if it were night –
Fall, as my feet tread swiftly on the ground.
No-where in my furthest mind’s thoughts could I
That somehow, sometime, in the dark see
My friend was going to die.
It was not like the signs were
Hidden from me,
Preaching the coming of events to occur,
But I just ignored them without a thought,
And did not
Do what I should have done,
And now my friend’s life is now an ended one.
But darkness is all around,
As if it were night –
Fall, as my feet tread swiftly on the ground.
No-where in my furthest mind’s thoughts could I
That somehow, sometime, in the dark see
My friend was going to die.
It was not like the signs were
Hidden from me,
Preaching the coming of events to occur,
But I just ignored them without a thought,
And did not
Do what I should have done,
And now my friend’s life is now an ended one.
