Diary of An SS Scientist

(WARNING: contains graphic material, strong language and racial comment, I the author of this Historical Fiction would like to say I have a tremendous amount of respect for the events that took place during the Holocaust and do not support the Nazi movement.)

January 30,1933
    My first diary entry of my career. I am a scientist hired as an assistant for Josef Mengele. “ Ein Mann, den ich hörte, von großer Intelligenz.”( A man I heard of great intelligence.) My job intel is to observe the genetic studies of twins and experiment to make the aryan race superior. I have left my home in Berlin, Germany from a sub-camp and being transferred to a larger concentration camp known as “Auschwitz”. I should be arriving in Poland anytime now.

    I show up to the house of where I’m being driven by a young man,his name I’ve forgotten due to the awful stench of what i knew to be was the burning corpse of the Jewish race mixed with the rest of the inferior races. As soon as I arrived at the gates of the infamous “ Auschwitz” all I could hear are the screams of the SS officers giving demands to the filthy Jews, echoing their painful yells and suffering of their upcoming doom. I was asked to show certification of my purpose of being in the camp and was then escorted to my own dorm. I ignored the stares and the faces of disgust given to me from the prisoners of the camp, but i must say they are only the earthworms of the soil i stand on, their only purpose is “restaurants und scheiße und sterben.” (to eat and shit and die.) They do not have any effect over me. Emotionally and Physically.

    I unpacked my belonging making the room into my illusion of what i call home. i then heard a knock at the door from a close comrade of mine, “Sie werden erwartet, im Labor bei 6 Uhr scharf, Wunsch von Dr. Mengele zu sein.” (You are expected to be in the laboratory at 6 o'clock sharp, request of Dr. Mengele.) “ Danke”, I replied. “Can’t wait for what unfolds tomorrow.” I whispered to myself.

January 31, 1933
     Today’s the day I entered the laboratory of “Auschwitz” for the first time, as i walking in other scientist were gathering their data and preparing for Dr. Mengele. My back was turned against the entrance of the door, when suddenly the scientist solution and I turned curiously to see who entered the room and it was Josef Mengele himself, I then too saluted to him. Josef stood in front of us introducing himself and his successes in his career, followed by what the mission was for the next couple of weeks. He gave us sheets of the anatomical positions of children. I accepted the forms and called upon the first twins. Two girls of the age 11 and 12 walked in half naked. A sight i myself must say… vulgar.
    Mengele ordered them to sit up on the table and to stay still. He then turned and told be to give him the candy. I handed him the lollipops that he had pointed to and he gave one, to each of the twin girls. Dr. Mengele spoke “Wie schmecken sie?”  ( How do they taste?) The girls looked at each other and in fear they didn't know either to respond with full honesty or to make up a lie of being pleased to have received expired cand. The youngest girl replies “ They taste as sweet as it can…” Josef pulled out a handgun and shot the 11 years, executively. The remaining sister started weeping historically. Two scientist grabbed to girl to settle her down.  I was told to take notes and to write down any observations after they cut the girl's head open to analyze if any similarities were shown from the girl that got shot. I pretended to take notes, but instead i was writing what you are reading now. “Ich schwöre, diese Zeitschrift wird dich der Tod von mir sein.” ( I swear this journal is gonna be the death of me.)

    After 4 hours of testing we took a break and went into the office of Dr, Mengele. I avoided any conversation when i walking into his office. josef went up to me and extended his arm for a handshake. “Willkommen in Auschwitz, ich schon stellte mich wie ich mich erinnere, aber ich bin in der Umgebung gehen und grüßen alle Wissenschaftler, die in diesem Raum sind, um zu wissen, was ihre Persönlichkeit und Moral zu bekommen. So Sir, was ist Ihre Perspektive all dieser abscheulichen Juden?”( Welcome to Auschwitz, I already introduced myself as i recall, but I’m going around and greeting all the scientist that are in this room to get knowledge of what their personalities and morals are. So Sir what's your perspective of all of these vile Jews?) I chucked and replied “ They are nothing more than dogs. Actually  I take that back they are the roaches that infest this world and we are the exterminators that get rid of pest.” Mengele laughed, “ Very true indeed. How about you join into my special ops crew? If you're interested here's the information needed to get in.” I took his invitation and excused myself and left to my dorm. I undressed and go into bed and i feel asleep.

February 2, 1933
    I woke up later than usually and i looked at the invitation and I choose to attend and when I attended no one was there. All I saw was a time machine and some kind of list of all my coworkers and I slowly walked to the machine and I nervously stepped in and what i saw was life changing.
