- - - EMBRACED BY THE MIDNIGHT SPECTRE - - -
In the eternal night
The embrace of the midnight spectre
When carrion take flight
Singing songs meant for her
From dust to dusk and bitter rust
The bars are falling away
The mirror reflects the neglect
Malcontent from the grave
In groves, the secret troves
A withered heart in barren lands
Once loved, and now below
The dead with reaching hands
From razored tongues to harken drums
My pulse, it beats for recompense
Racing with a tainted curse
In verse, transverse
Mournful, her last words, my laments
Lightning striking tombstones, my queen
Illuminates forms naked
Before eyes of lords, so engorged
On anorexic forsaken
Still forms, cloven and shorn
Slowly peeling away the skin
The horned, beaten and torn
Patiently, soaked in sin
With ancient spells rehearsed so well
Feel her labored breath on my lips
Once dead eyes fill with new life
By night, she might
Lay on my brow a troubled kiss
By the Morningstar
A light in the darkest night
Shines brighter
From the deepest shadow
In the eternal night
The embrace of the midnight spectre
When carrion take flight
Singing songs meant for her
