Love & Anguish
his masculine fingers feel like daggers
ripping me apart with each caressing stroke
underneath the scars unravel the cruel history
of stab wound love and poisonous kisses.
trapped within these chocolate tinted eyes
remain the wasted tears and heartache.
all taken for granted, left with an open sore void
desiring nothing but to cover the gaping hole.
you stole the most vital part, my heart,
a trophy to keep always with you.
and still you linger before withering eyes
as your vision dies away.
now the air is plagued with lies and deception
a new soul has left my breast stained crimson
from the nights of anguish, festered and healed
this scar tinted flesh will be for eternity,
you have washed away the guilt
in the fast ocean of my tears.
the memories will always remain
and the mist of my caress will drown you.
