Image Not Always Linked To Reality

As with any aspect of life variety is the norm
a palate of colors that provide color
not only merging inanimate with living souls
but bending what is real with an idea conveyed

From the crafting of empowering legislation
to helping those ill
crafting a dwelling that is solid
delievering a succulent meal
to writing a song that nourishes the heart
to embracing the natural wonders of the planet

There are those who embrace facades
who appear to be welcoming and accessible
they project attractiveness and light
but when one reaches out to touch
it is like the sand that can never be felt
the symphony that won't be composed
cuisine that is uneadible
the poem never to be constructed

For observation and admiration is allowed
but only from a far
selectivity they key
for the truth is all can notice
but only a few are allowed to be engaged
presented as connectivity
practiced a separation

Separation by choice or maybe a preference of voice
staying with what is familiar and tradition
crafting a wall which is invisible at first glance
but which is as formidable as any Wall Of China
even being rationalized as "being faithfull"
as if a new exchange somehow taints old paths

The promise of a new day
of cherishing life ties venerable and fresh
exploring trusted facets of making
while embracing unexplored endeavors
this approach reflects some
but as with any human experience
is avoided by others
content to create with limits
excluding others
confining hopeful participants
to the passivity of the critique
while blocked from collaborative construction
