Wash Away

Hitting your head upon a rock
how much intelligence does it take
to break the pattern
stupidity "old friend
I've come to talk with you again"....
it all comes down to free will
and the lack of essence
to be found desirable
in despicable me
fiction becomes an easy land to navigate
rejection like a Brahm's lullabye
while nonfiction's slings aimed straight ahead
resemble Manowar or Metallica thrashing
every auditory nerve

"Walk away in emptiness, walk away in sorrow,
walk away from yesterday, walk away tomorrow"

Lyrics courtesy of Paul Simon, Simon and Garfunkel, "Sound of Silence", Sting, "Dead Man's Rope"
