Care for, don’t kill
Don’t be proud of your iron will
Share, don’t hoard
How would it feel if you were ignored
Smile, don’t frown
it's so easy to turn a frown upside-down
Hug, don’t crush
Gentility is a warm gush of plush
Befriend, don’t fight
Use of might is never ever right
Feed, don’t starve
There's enough for all is just a different carve
Clothe, don’t strip
The poor can’t wear your fashion one-up-manship
Give, don’t take
Sharing with all’ for all our sakes
Love, don’t hate
Only love will help us repair and re-create
If this message is unclear
Your lack of understanding induces fear
Let me try a simple punt
Tomorrow: Just try, not to be a cunt

Lmao the end is perfect.
Society teaches people to remain disconnected from one another. There's a reason why we are told to maintain that smile at all times... Can we ever be honest with a total stranger about having a bad day? Nooooo, because it will just bring them down and possibly others around observing... Meanwhile we miss out on opportunities to potentially relate to one another. It is only a select few who will break the norms and show their compassion widely. This is why I believe such qualities advocated for in this piece are so difficult to find. We're taught to be self absorbed for lack of better wording. It takes understanding that we are all human beings to inspire empathy and selflessness.
