Sad, Beautiful Girl

I could have fallen in love with you.
I could have fallen in love with you, sad beautiful girl.

I could have taken your face in my hands everyday,
Looked into your precious, sapphire eyes and told you
All about your worth to me .

All about every time you looked at me and gave me butterflies.
About that time, out for sushi, when you took my hands in yours
And I lost myself in you. All I could think about was you.

I could have loved you but you ran away.
Scared to be happy I suppose.
Now I sit alone, Listening to "Crystals"
With memories of long nights when I was falling for
This girl with black hair, pearl white skin
And a soul as pure as mothers milk.
This sad, beautiful girl.
