Been Wrong Before, Don't Go There No More
You can't help but look
like many fellas do
judging by her hearty laugh
men's flirtations are nothing new
Ages since I have seen her
still charming with that smile
and with body built for pleasure
I could never change the dial
If I share all that she arouses
would she even give me the time of day
probably heard all kinds of lines
what really can I say?
Was it all in my head
or just sparking fierce lust
am I doomed to be just another statistic
or is there something she can trust?
At any rate I will take comfort
for seeing her removes any frown
so close I seek to touch
the prettiest lady in all of the town

There should be something she can trust,
if nothing else the words in this poem so poignant
are worth gaining the lady's trust.
I love the first four stanzas, I like that you do
not bother these journey with rhymes, but you let it
travel it self through. You let the poem speak for it self.
It is great, I can clearly see the hurdles and yet that spark or
glimmer that revives. Thanks for sharing.
