Break Down, Sweet Malena {w.blue_angel}
I often wonder, Malena, are we insane,
or merely addicted to the pain?
I chose you, as you are the most angelic maiden in all of
the surrounding villages. sweet child of innocence, as you
hang in the merciless chains. your glory enrages Athena,
and your beauty reduces Helen to a simple char-woman.
under the urging of my whips and my cane, your
screams regale the night, primitive as a beast –
something wild howling in the moonlight.
your cries hold a melody, a dirge fashioned by the
mingling of your torment and your ecstasy.
In these Cimmerian shadows, such is my symphony.
I treasure the scarlet welts rising on your perfectly
sculpted flesh. you are divine as Galatea,
and I exalt in my artistry…
I am His pain sculpted temptress
ill-used, swaying pendulum princess.
A sullied innocence to shroud in agony.
I twist and struggle against His biting chains.
His leather kisses, leave me breathless and bruised.
The invitation to my silken flesh is fully exposed.
The tormented sensation of my carved erotic cries,
sates His scornful thirst, and ignites the fire in His eyes.
A lustful whore in distress, woven in sin for soldier men.
His beautiful unkempt outcast of night’s raging fetishes.
His unrestrained hunger drags its teeth against me.
Not even the Belgium wall can save me from this.
He withholds his soft caress, and I beg for the sweet release.
My scantiness is a tapestry sewn in distant dreams –
He brushes the tears from my cheeks
then leaves me quivering in silence.

A very well done colab. I like the use of the two different font's it gives the poem two voices

The first two lines could be the epitaph for all star crossed lovers ... This left my mind racing, just marvelous.

"...are we insane?" It asks the very question. Is it within the natural propriety of the human existence to be satiated by inflicting and suffering pain?
I don't know.
"A lustful whore in distress, woven in sin for soldier men." Perhaps the answer lies here. Is this merely a twisted extension of carnal desire left in welts instead of raptures?
Or is it teasing the ultimate sanction for all evil deeds, Death?
I don't know.
But it begs the questions and they linger. Such is great poetry.

The rapturous bliss of the torturers whip superbly counterpointed by the tortured one's pain and understanding of his need. Magical writing once again. I thought it absolutely wonderful.

The opening lines are powerful enough to grab the reader and then the rest just soaks in, giving us a taste of every emotion.

Super S/M. A little painful to read ...which makes this poem so outstanding. Graphic and breathtaking. The last sentence so very sad though.
The opening lines and closing lines weave the tapestry
of two voices together into a universal language.
