Dust
might be a little dust on the friendship
but what's inside two hearts is precious
do you see past these teary green eyes
standing before you with a translucent heart
facing true reality of my inner voice
yes my attitude has changed thru time
maybe I have failed you or you me
I sense my presence is no longer appreciated
does it hurt you when no existence of me appears
missing sent inquires concerned of your being
they stopped cause you cease to answer my existence
well.....I still care and wonder how you are
profound truth is we look past each other
so if you should find your way back to cross my path
will greet you with hugs and smiles as if time hasn't passed
we can dust off this friendship that has not been forgotten

And here all this time I thought your eyes and heart were of a purple hue, not green or translucent... friendships can be as fragile as the romance of new love that vanishes once the chase is over and the heart is on... and yet a forgotten friend is easier to mend than a broken heart that once burned with desire. I know this feeling Flower. It's hard to be hurt, but not forgiving makes the pain greater and corrodes the heart. I find it helps to remind myself that it's difficult to accurately imagine what's going on with another, particularly with an online relationship, if that's the case here. This is beautiful work as always, and generous.

Sweet S.....yes I have friends like that to......this one wasn't like that but is now......I know the reason behind it now......so it will be easier to adapt to the reasoning of the change......thank you for these thoughts you have shared with me.......hurt won't be so much now.......always look forward to your smile and friendship.....luv and hugs xo :)

Ahhh . . In my defense, in case that was written with me in mind, I left DU and have just now came back. I was gone quite awhile and had even deleted all my poems and my ID on here. Anyway, I am back, starting fresh . . Maybe this was written for someone else, but it sorta struck a chord with me..
