Vee, this piece is a romantic triumph. I love the almost reverent tone. I am a romantic who enjoys the deep meaning of making love and this is such a fine illustration of those feelings. This stanza is positively spiritual:

"Release the shining rays    
from depths of my soul in vibrant colors    
restoring mystical hues cascading into
symphony of influx unto the spectrum    
bathing me with the beauty of sultry tempo."

There are many layers to this poem, from the absolute commitment to spiritual aspect of wholeheartedly embracing love, sexuality and the sense of belonging.

The subject matter is one that is uncompromising especially the fact that its misunderstood.  I appreciate writes which are brutal, shockingly raw and unapologetic.
I've certainly written my share of it, but this piece takes a different approach.

I'm flattered by your comment Michael, thank you! There's always this idea of romanticized/sexuality that we gravitate naturally, believing that it can be beyond the physical but to affirm we tend to symbolize it with things on our bodies or skin. I would love to study the notion where and how it started the personification of symbolism placing things on our skin, not necessarily by ink but objects as well. i have to go back to my fav bookstore and chill there sometime :)
