To live and die, Nature's cycle
the lights of life
like starlights on clear nights
full blossoms like yellow daisies
on fields of green
nature causes changes
wet kisses of rain on leaves
sunshine lend warmth
colour them yellow
wind blows hard
causing pops in fluffy seeds
flying them away
to grow and procreate on new fields
lights of a life
nature lends her love
to live and to die
within the arms of Gaia.
like starlights on clear nights
full blossoms like yellow daisies
on fields of green
nature causes changes
wet kisses of rain on leaves
sunshine lend warmth
colour them yellow
wind blows hard
causing pops in fluffy seeds
flying them away
to grow and procreate on new fields
lights of a life
nature lends her love
to live and to die
within the arms of Gaia.

Ah, Grace. The Pantheist in me loves this one. I have always loved the image of Gaia, that gorgeous picture of Mother Earth embracing her child. The words you have used here are soft and gentle and reflect the birthing nature of the poem very well.
On a constructive note: St 2 L3 - should that be 'sunshine lends warmth'?
Much enjoyed. Thank you for the write.

Indeed, Mother Earth loves us in her own way, unconditionally, even when we don't treat her with the respect she deserves, she finds a way to reincarnate all that dies within her sphere... this is a brilliant poem of loving imagery!

"wind blows hard
causing pops in fluffy seeds
flying them away
to grow and procreate on new fields,"
This stanza, especially line 3 effected Me in an retrospective way.
When I was 21, (19 years ago now), I uprooted from Florida where
I was born and raised and moved out West to Portland, Or.
Just like Your winds, "Blowing them hard and flying them away;" the
winds of change blew on Me and I flew away, (well, took a Greyhound
Bus 3200 miles away).
But, just as Your poem Insightfully attests, life is always changing;
birthing, growing, relocating, dying: an infinite predictable cycle.
Enjoyed... Dantalian

Thank you for reading:) Hungrypan...I like your name. Anyway, life is like a journey. We travel far and experience so much...but still we return to nature in the end. You are so right there.

This is a lovely take on nature, bringing in the mythic element distinctly at the end. Fine job Grace!
