Heart Break

The cascade of their kisses cannot quench
Furious flames that fire up her heart;
She must be held forever in a clench
And wants that clench to last; when will it start
To slow her pulse - the beating's rather hard;
In fact there's thumping through her chest; who'd bear
Blood rushing in her veins; but love's not marred
When it is this intense - though it might scare
A lesser spirit than this girl, who comes
To seek out waterfalls, where I have spied
Her being kissed beneath a summer sun's
Gentle embrace; such bliss is rarified:
It feels quite wonderful, but, once, opaque,
Her heart's so strained that, surely, it must break.
