To Forever Remember
saying "goodbye" is so easy
words slip off your tongue
to a soul that's tormented yours
yet your heart still luves them
continues to feel their grip upon you
mind unknowingly keeps holding them near
so you walk thru tormented days wondering what went wrong
still thinking of their not so good sweetness
sugar which makes sour blood run thru your veins
then a blinding sun is blocked by fog
with one calm thought all becomes clear
something deep inside you says "misery go away"
your heart weeps forever remembering

Love, in my opinion, causes more hurt and devastation within the heart than anything else in the world. Still . . . We try and try again . . . I, for sure, am no exception. Very well written, heartfelt poetry, flower.

"Your heart weeps forever remembering." Sometimes it pays to be forgetful. On the other hand, a little darkness helps to add some luster to your work, however painful. Another fine one, Flower! One for the ages...

We are all guilty of hanging on at some point Ih think. They letting go part you speak of never comes to some though, and they become engulfed in an ocean of bitterness. Your alternative proves much more appealing. Enjoyable read.
