Mardi Gras Pearls

holding your cards tight to your chest
with no tell I can decipher

I wonder if I'm at least a macabre curiosity
someone who makes you say what the fuck?

or am I just a blip on your radar
a lonely dancer
pirouetting on the wind

with my clumsy ballet
no refined class
with which to sip from

I'm beer you're bourbon
so callous from life's grappling
at my curvaceous form

still there is an underlying beauty
in my raw, savage nature
I was taught at a young age to face life head on

no storm can shipwreck me
I'm the whore who rides the Earth's cock
calling forth the elements

fire nymph lingering on your periphery
just out of reach
though in your arms in a minute

should you give the command
waiting in the shadows in my garish costume
Mardi Gras pearls adorn me

high class call girls
have nothing on me
i'll get down and dirty

fulfilling your darkest desires
I see your cards now
I'm playing my hand

put me in check
I'm a wild gypsy mount
needing to be tempered

with a commanding
presence like yours
my illusive love
