wings of marble
deceptive warble
silly bird you're made of stone
suffer repercussion
jump without a cushion
dreaming that you should have flown
tried to fly
but now you cry
broken on the ground alone

Poor statue! So many brave Gargoyles learned the same lesson. It feels like a nursery rhyme which makes it so easily digested into the subconscious, gives it a hook. That makes it sparkle.
