Simple Man

I have always loved the way that,
When I put enough saliva on my popsicle stick
And rest it on another one, they hold together.
Like magnets.
I also really love,
When raising my hand in class,
I get distracted by the lines and contours of my palm.
Like maps.
In those moments-
I don't give a God damn about the simple physics and biology of it.
I don't care where all the kids that got taken away from their parents ended up.
I don't remember what friends of mine are laying in the ground still without a tombstone.
Simply, I am in love.
I love vehicles, and guitars, and tattoos,
And music, and shoes, and speed.
But, nothing like the little miracles you don't have to learn.
The things that are just there.
Just happen.
I am in love
Until the loves melts away.
