Louder than words...

He noticed my tam o'shanter,
he was ugly as sin, but the thirty
minute conversation that followed
was enchanting; the bridge, the dirt road,
the girl that couldn’t drive a good nail
fucking to save her own skin.

The white strips and navy trousers
seemed to go on forever; the poetry
on scrolls scrubbing ship decks,
he hurts her but still she loves him,
this time will be different,
she just needed to change
her outfit to go to her own burial.

Jodie and Travis are in love,
they hold hands all around the grill area,
I tell them to stop, someone will get burned
when the moment is louder than words,
as loud as hell, they never listen.
