The Jealous Clock Laughs
graveyards and land mines
have to watch your step
can’t walk the straight path
tap dance around trouble
inside the twisted mind
chaos and turmoil
a red flag in my thoughts
time bomb about to explode
combustion and contamination
the gears turn smoothly
a chink in the armor
lost in some hyper transmission
pulses energize the system
shock waves so atomic
breaking the body down
till the damn thing implodes
transaction not satisfaction
spending days in anger
memories so stained
life bleeds every emotion
the broken pieces gathered
can’t put this fucker together
giving in to this subterfuge
as the jealous clock laughs

Dali is one of my favorite surrealists artists, I wrote a poem awhile back based on one of his paintings, I called it 'the broken flower' he's truly a great inspiration and this is no exception, you've done a wonderful job with this Dave.
