Love is a Snowball

High atop a mountain peak
A flake if icy breath joins hands with a crystal friend
That fell into his lap to become intimately entwined
In intricate detail as a gentle breeze warmed their hearts
They began to roll with joy after the breeze let them go
For their weight became too great to be swayed by any wind
And the gravity of two hearts pulled them ever more tightly together
The rolled down the steep and slippery mountain path
Faster, faster, faster, as if no force could stop their juggernaut
But unknown to them lay a fiery lava pit waiting to swallow them whole
A hole so deep and vast that no boulder of snow could last
Yet onward they rolled in an ever growing ball of passion, they refused to believe
That any force of nature could turn such joy into empty misery
As they rolled down the crater toward  the flames of destiny
There was a sudden mass explosion of passion breaking free
As the gigantic boulder of a billion flakes burst into the sky
Melting into teardrops as crystal lovers turned and said goodbye
