Waiting

She wakes him up at 330 in a panic
He has to get ready for work in 2 hours
She felt an earwig crawling on her leg
And has to watch 5 episodes of "The Office" to settle down
He stares at the reflections of lights
Twisting shadows of her stories across the bedroom ceiling
She's not happy, or motivated, to get a job or make dinner
Or play with their little girl as she sits at home all day
He's working extra hours and doing summer school
Earning some extra money for their honeymoon
While she wallows in a shroud of gloomy depression
Waiting for a reason to get out of bed in the morning
