Will you promise me something?
It's not an easy promise but..
I promised it once
and it'd mean the world to me
if you promised it too.

Promise me
That when you feel alone
You will remember
The way laughter makes you feel
and how sweet a smile tastes.

Promise me
That in the dark hours
when your thoughts run rampant
that you will pick up your pen
and stain paper black, not red.

Promise me
That if you think
the world has turned it's back on you
that you will remember
the way the moon and stars adore you.

Promise me
That if you hate
what the mirror shows you
that you will remember
how beautiful I find you to be.

And lastly promise me
That if you feel alone
you will remember my smile
and know that above everything
I care for you.
