Beautiful.

I battle with the symantics of existence myself and I have parents whom I worry about making my keepers, maybe not with such "dramatic" displays, just with the way I am. It's morbid.

"I gave you love and cared as you fed off my flesh like a man-eating shark
Then begged me to beat you 'til it tore me apart"
- The piece might have been lent to by a little more distance. You sound a little melodramatic yourself.

Powerful write - the stance taken in the poem is a very difficult stance to take but in a lot of ways is understandable, even justifyable - it would take a a brave or despairate soul to follow through

There's an old saying, give 'em an inch, they'll take a yard. Sooner or later Mr. Nice Guy needs to slam the door and say "no more"! It's cold but eventually something has to give... thanks for commenting David!

Amen brother...the drama is so not worth it.  A man can only take so much!  Enjoyed your rant.  Seems to be a lot of faux displays going around these days.  :)
