Little Creatures ~

The most interesting little creatures
I've ever known, captivating me with
such charm and charisma

As babies I soothed you with song's
dancing you to sleep in my arm's
holding your heartbeat next to mine

Your dreamy eye's looked on with such
amazement as I read to you from storybooks, listening to every word

This little creature wanted pig tails
in her hair, this little creature lived in
his batman suit, that little creature
carried his blanket everywhere and
littlest brother creature always caught
us in his web, eventually passing out
in his spiderman outfit

At times my hands were full, wondering
if I'd get a moment of personal escape,
then hanging my head in shame for
having such a thought

My heart was bursting with such fullness
and I couldn't imagine one second of
the days without you little creatures

Sleepless night's and exhausted day's,
didn't matter, your little smiling faces
awakened me and gave me the energy
I needed

All the yesterday's have become our
today, my four little creatures have
grown
