Indissolvable Shackles
Liquid and handcuffs
in smother
'tween lip's remorse,
trembling..
I grasp
upon tongue..
the tablet
with no key
and swallow
a few more
cascading years
of 'could have been's' ..
To mortal part's pain
I am compliant
in unresolved whispers,
unshed.. welling tears
..and those sweet
could have been's..
Indissolvable shackles
swallowed on downward spiral.
