H is for Hades or Heaven?

Have to wonder if you are trying to burn down the house
with all the heat that you conjure
from the coldest of depths
like the middle of Pluto
igniting a flame that scorches
is it the thirst for H20's hydration
or rather a saturation of you
and what is the price paid for such and exchange?
to be singed in blaze that can't be handled
or a mark on the memory
that becomes an incessant desire to replicate the event
they say that the male is more apt
to discard after use
but my observations of the male psyche
and my own experiences
suggest that we also fall harder
so with much surprise
I have said goodbye to the permafrost
and now all depends on you
