Forgive Me.

Let's not be silly
when I pin my hopes on you
and you make me weep again
on that beautiful, marble floor.

Let's not be subtle
when tumbling from the top
and there never seems enough space
for our soft breathing and vicious memories
as I'm too tired to give in to offered R and R

but please, do not be quiet
when I pop the last pill,
when my will is tumbling from your oldest hopes
and when it's pounding on that beautiful, marble floor.

Darling, if only you knew, I'm still too tired for a little R and R.
